[Red-Band Trailer] – Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

24 May

The new trailer we’re getting for Abraham Lincoln: Vamprie Hunter is a red-band one that may just be the best one we’ve gotten yet for this movie. Check it out after the cut.

While the first trailer was merely okay and focussed a lot on the action it would be serving up (in 3D, natch), the second trailer was far better because it incorporated some of the actual story that would be driving the movie. And now this new red-band trailer shows just how bloody and extreme all the action in the film will be (answer: very), and it also gives a glimpse at Anthony Mackie in action as the former President’s best friend. In case you didn’t get it from the title, the film focusses on Abraham Lincoln and actual real-life accomplishments and events he was involved in and throws vampires in the midst of it all that the kick-ass POTUS takes care of.

Directed by Timur Bekmambetov; written by Seth Grahame-Smith and Simon Kinberg, based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smite; starring Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rufus Sewell, Marton Csokas and Alan Tudyk. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens June 22.

I wonder if AL:VH could’ve been inspired by my
“Everybody Loves Darwin The Vampire Slayer”
    comedy bit.
    Naaaaaaah, couldn’t be.
