[Trailer] – Wreck-It Ralph

6 Jun

From the teaser poster, to the images that were released yesterday, to the fact that it seems to speak to every person that’s played an old school arcade game, I’ve always been pretty much on board with Disney‘s upcoming Wreck-It Ralph. And now we have our first trailer for the animated movie, which you can watch after the cut.

In it, John C. Reilly voices the title character, who’s been the bad guy of an 8-bit arcade video game who decides that he’s had it with being hated by the players, and tries to be a good guy by hopping to the different games trying to be a hero, until he unintentionally releases a digital villain.

It’s obviously just our first look at the movie, but this trailer has me as sold as ever. I loved the support group and how it’s taking a page from the Toy Story playbook and showing us classic video games characters to make us giddy. This just looks great.

Directed by Rich Moore; written by Jennifer Lee and Phil Johnston; starring the voices of John C. Reilly, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Sarah Silverman. Wreck-it Ralph opens November 2.
