[Trailer] – Oz: The Great and Powerful

14 Nov

Oz: The Great and Powerful, Sam Raimi‘s new film inspired by the 1939 classic, has been made to seem like Alice in Wonderland by the promotional material. Well, now its got a full trailer, which you can watch below, and that continues to be the case.

It’s about the origins of The Wizard, who was a circus magician from Kansas who’s thrown into Oz where he meets three witches. And look, the cast is undeniably great, especially the three actresses in charge of portaying the witches, and if Mr. Raimi’s creativity comes through it will probably be worth our time, it’s just that this trailer’s gotten me kind of hesitant about whether that will actually happen.

Directed by Sam Raimi; written by Mitchell Kapner and David Lindsay-Abaire, adapted from the novel by L. Frank Baum; starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff and Abigail Spencer. Oz: The Great and Powerful opens March 8, 2013.
